Conflicts of Interest
As state employees, all faculty, staff, and student employees of Georgia Tech are bound by the State of Georgia Code of Ethics for Government Employees found in O.C.G.A. Section 45-10-1. Employees should avoid situations in which there is or may be a conflict between the employee's private interests and Georgia Tech duties.
All employees are required to review and confirm their conflict of interest file during the annual Integrity and Compliance Campaign. They are also responsible for submitting and updating any activities as soon as the opportunity for the outside activity arises at any point in the calendar year.
To disclose an activity, visit the Georgia Tech Conflict of Interest and External Activities Reporting Portal.
Questions and assistance regarding how to disclose and manage outside activity is available at COI@gatech.edu.
Questions about conflicts of interest in business transactions can be sent to businesscoi@gatech.edu.
