The Student Life & Academic Affairs legal team champions Georgia Tech’s Strategic Values, including its core value: “Students are our top priority.” We assist Institute leadership, administrators, and faculty in areas encompassing the breadth of the student experience, including campus services, admissions, scholarships, student discipline, student organizations, and experiential learning.

Further, the SL&AA team promotes and upholds freedom of expression, academic freedom, and due process, developing and offering resources and training for the campus community, including our students. We also provide comprehensive services to further strategic objectives, including policy development, agreement drafting, creation of templates, and collaborative communication efforts.

Additionally, we ensure compliance in areas such as Title IX, Clery, FERPA, Youth Programs, and Gifts, and play a key role in risk identification, risk prevention, and crisis response.
